Eleven months after the launch of Digital Communities initiative, Government Technology magazine conducted a second online survey amongst its subscribers to assess and better understand the priorities and challenges facing jurisdictions as they undergo digital community transformation. The new survey provides insights both on the impact of the initiative and the future mobile procurement plans of subscribers.
Robert A. Mayer is the chief information officer for the state of Maine. He is responsible for statewide data-processing functions and telecommunications services. Previously, he managed information services for county government and the public-transit agency in Seattle.
Mark Badger, 45, is Alaska's chief technology officer and director of the Department of Administration's Information Technology Group. He has more than 25 years of experience as an educator, researcher and creator of technology-assisted information projects. He has also conducted IT projects in Siberia and other polar regions.
