The 2024 Digital Counties Survey (DCOS), presented by the Center for Digital Government (CDG) and the National Association of Counties (NACo) provides you with the opportunity to conduct an in-depth IT self-audit of your current operational status, accomplishments of the past year, and plans for the future. It can also kick-start IT strategic planning exercises. The survey results enable you to benchmark your IT operations, accomplishments, and plans against other cities in multiple ways. Additionally, you will have:
• Nationwide recognition and possible awards for IT staff’s outstanding and improved performance
• A third-party report source that helps you build credibility with departments and leaders
• A launchpad for meaningful discussions with your stakeholders
• Ideas and lessons learned to continue improvements for the next year
The extended survey submission deadline is Wednesday, March 27, 2024.
STEPS FOR FILLING OUT THE SURVEY
1. Read the
Survey INSTRUCTIONS with materials and instructions for responses and how to fill out the survey online.
2. Use the
Survey Word document/template to compose answers and have a back-up copy.
3. Read the
Survey DEFINITIONS.
- Periodically check the
SURVEY FAQs which are updated while the survey is open.
Instructions for Using the Survey Tool
• FIRST: Fill in the primary and back up contacts (required) and click on the
Save and Table of Contents button at the end. This will take you to the TABLE OF CONTENTS and survey questions.
