Water Damaged Plano, Texas, Court Computer System Restored Saturday

On Saturday the Plano Municipal Court computer system was restored to normal operation after experiencing water damage on Tuesday, Dec. 5. Because of the computer outage, said the city in a release, defendants whose appearance date fell between Dec. 5 and Dec. 10 will have 10 days (until Dec. 21, 2006) to make an appearance without additional penalties. Defendants with appearance dates from today forward will be expected to make their appearance according to their citations.

Citizens issued a citation Dec. 5 thru Dec. 10 will have until Dec. 21, unless their 15-calendar-day appearance date is later than Dec. 21.

The Municipal Court's online citation payment method is operational again. Web payments posted during the outage were successfully transacted.

The Municipal Court office will be closed for the holiday beginning Friday, Dec. 22, reopening Tuesday, Dec. 26. For additional questions, contact the Municipal Court at (972) 941-2199. KW
