Britain's New Prime Minister Announces Formation of Government on "Downing Street YouTube Channel"

Newly elected British Prime Minister Gordon Brown on Wednesday announced that the Queen had invited him to form a government. The announcement was carried in the media of course, and on the PM's Web site, but also on the Downing Street YouTube Channel.

The Downing Street YouTube Channel was launched last month under former PM Tony Blair, who used the direct media to congratulate Nicolas Sarkozy on his election to president of the French Republic.
