Minneapolis Hosts State Green by Design Conference

Minneapolis is a "green believer" sponsor of Green by Design, the third annual statewide conference on planning and building healthy, sustainable affordable housing in Minnesota. More than 350 housing developers, builders, architects, contractors, city planners, funders, environmentalists and other professionals from all regions of the state are attending the conference to learn and teach, helping create healthier, energy-efficient and affordable housing. Topics include residential green building, Minnesota Housing funding requirements, energy conservation and climate protection strategies, equitable green economic development, and healthy homes and communities.

City of Minneapolis staff will participate with information from Housing, both single-family and multifamily; Planning; the Minneapolis Employment and Training Program; Business Finance; Regulatory Services and the Coordinator's office.
