The 21st Government Technology Conference (GTC) this week in Sacramento has evolved from a focus on information technology to embrace a broader range of issues. For the first time, program, business and IT leaders will join with top executives and elected officials to address the state's future, as GTC West presents the Conference on California's Future.

Summit sessions and world's fair-style pavilions were inspired by Governor Schwarzenegger's Strategic Growth Plan, and include education, health, transportation, energy, connected government and more. The governor will keynote the conference on Thursday May 15 at 10:45 a.m.

Keynotes by Wired Magazine's Chris Anderson, Google's Vint Cerf, State CIO Teri Takai; and Sun's Scott McNealy will provide multiple perspectives on the future of life in the Golden State.
