Offering up to 100Mbps of full duplex Ethernet capacity to each building, the Metro Grid is a wireless mesh that offers fiber-like capacity and performance without the high cost and complications of deploying fiber. The network uses unlicensed, interference-free technology that ensures ultra-low latency operation able to carry thousands of toll-grade VoIP calls, delay and jitter sensitive video traffic and mission-critical applications. Unlike traditional Wi-Fi networks, the Metro Grid can support large scale IT network overlays while aggregating video traffic from hundreds of surveillance cameras.

The Metro Grid solution consists of a network of ClearMesh 300 (CM 300) nodes and the ClearMesh Management System (CMS). The CM 300 is an integrated Layer 2 networking platform that combines high-capacity Ethernet switching and low-cost wireless transport with business-grade Ethernet service delivery interfaces. Using secure optical transmission, the CM 300 distributes up to 300 Mbps of wire-speed, ultra-low latency, full-duplex bandwidth (600Mbps of capacity) with QoS.
