Colorado Bill Would Require All Sex Offenders to Register Online Identities

E-mail used for employment exempted.

A Colorado bill HB 1326, would require registered sex offenders to "register all e-mail addresses, instant messaging identities or chat room identities prior to using the address or identity." E-mail addresses used in employment are exempted if the offender uses the address primarily for employment, or if the address identifies the employer and the offender is not an owner or operator of the employing entity.
