Japanese Employees Face "Smile-Measuring" Software

Scores based on eye movement, lip curvature and wrinkles.

According to an article in the Japanese Mainichi Daily News, employees of Keihin Electric Railway Co. will have their smiles photographed and rated by smile-measuring software each morning. Those with low scores -- based on eye movement, lip curvature and wrinkles -- will be advised to "lift mouth corners" etc., and will carry a photo of their best smile to emulate.
