"The 2012 Class of PTI Fellows recognizes three outstanding individuals who have committed their careers to service, leadership and the advancement of technology in city and county government," said PTI Executive Director Alan Shark. "Each has contributed more than 20 years to public service, and each serves as a model of commitment and professionalism in the government sector. A PTI Fellow is recognized as having played a major, positive role in furthering the use of technology for the public good - and who is willing to share his or her insight with local government officials."
Moura is being recognized for his work in the areas of using technology to improve city operations and efficiency, making information more accessible to the public and regional, statewide and national public, private and community partnerships. While at the City of San Carlos, he has been part of several innovative projects that have won PTI National Achievement Awards including the Cost Avoidance Reserve, Technology Goes to School, Smart Permit, Visioning Downtown San Carlos and Web Based ePackets, Indexed City Council Videos and Minutes.
