Ottawa County, Mich., Joins State's 'Connected Community' Program

The program will develop a broadband technology action plan to improve the quality of life and economic potential across Ottawa County and the region.

(TNS) -- Ottawa County is participating in Connect Michigan's Connected Community Program.

The program is set to identify the current need for improved internet access and support in Ottawa County, according to its website.

The Ottawa County Planning Commission led efforts to join the program, which will assess the current status of broadband access, adoption and use in Ottawa County.

The program will develop a broadband technology action plan to improve the quality of life and economic potential across Ottawa County and the region, according to the website.

Several surveys have been developed that are designed to capture data from the many sectors of the community in Ottawa County and identify needs.
