Hillsborough County Finds a New Way to Connect with Drivers

Facing the need to communicate road-closure alerts to drivers both faster and more economically, Hillsborough County, Fla., found an unconventional solution: The county’s Public Works Department began using the popular Waze traffic app to distribute road-closure information. In this interview from the Orlando Special Districts Summit, Corey McGonigle, IT program manager for the county Public Works Department, explains how Hillsborough uses the app as a new way to connect with drivers.
