Alabama Governor Keeps Citizens Informed Through His "Blog"

July 26, 2004 By

When Governor Riley departed on Friday July 16 on his "Jobs Mission", he invited citizens to keep track of his activities and the progress of the business recruitment effort through an online journal or "blog."

"I hope Alabamians will follow along as we meet face-to-face with European business officials and work to bring new jobs back home," Governor Riley said. "This is an exciting opportunity to grow our economy, and I want citizens to be able to take part in it and be informed about what we're doing."

The purpose of the governor's Jobs Mission to England and Germany was to allow him to personally meet with leaders of European companies in order to bring new jobs to Alabama.

Citizens can read the governor's journal on his Web site.
