Hennepin County, Minn., staff receiving a Digital County Award in last year's competition.

The National Association of Counties (NACo), the Center for Digital Government (Center) and Government Technology magazine have launched the nation's third annual Digital Counties Survey. The purpose of the survey is to identify how counties are deploying technology and to recognize those counties that use technology to provide a high level of service to their citizens. A compilation of survey results will appear in NACo's County News Online and on the Center's Web site. Top-ranked counties will receive the Digital Counties Survey award and will be honored at a reception during NACo's annual conference. Additionally, winners will be featured in Government Technology magazine.

The deadline for completing survey responses is Tuesday, April 19, 2005.
