The afternoon session is aimed at providing in-depth information about how the state does procurement and contracting, and also an overview of New York City's procurement processes. Similar seminars have been presented in Albany but, according to Forum organizers, there was an increasing demand to bring the event to New York City. There is a nominal charge to attend "Doing Business with New York State: Where do I Begin?"
Part of the Rockefeller Institute of Government, the New York State Forum for Information Resource Management is a network of public officials and state government organizations concerned with information management, policy, and technology. The mission of the Forum is to promote policies and practices for effective use and management of information resources in New York State government.
