Four Questions with Kansas City, Mo.'s Chief Innovation Officer

On Feb. 4, Ashley Z. Hand began as Kansas City, Mo.'s new chief innovation officer, bringing with her experience with both private- and public-sector clients, helping them to adopt best management practices through streamlining processes, data management and analysis, and incorporation of technology to change the business-as-usual mentality.

With less than a month on the job, she's gearing up for what lies ahead, such as determining the ways the city can improve how it serves and engages various communities.
