Jim Dillon, New York State CIO, in a note to colleagues, said he would retire effective Dec 9. He thanked his colleagues for their work on behalf of the CIO Council, and for participation toward "thinking and acting more like a statewide enterprise."
"Together we have created policies and common frameworks to ensure a more unified approach to our diverse IT needs," he said in the letter. "Ultimately, I know this will lead to greater efficiency, improved service and more responsible investments."
