Kansas Dental Board Launches Online License Verification

The dental board worked with accessKansas to create the license-verification tool.

TOPEKA, Kan. -- The Kansas Dental Board, through a partnership with accessKansas, is offering online license verifications for dentists and dental hygienists licensed in the state of Kansas.

The online application is designed to give the public instant access to KDB licensee information 24/7.

The KDB Online License Verification System will display the same information currently given to the public by mail or fax, and verified licensure information may be printed once the data has been retrieved.

The application will be a valuable tool for KDB customers says Executive Director Jerri Freed, noting that licenses can be verified online at no charge.

Freed also predicts the application will save a lot of time for the KDB staff.

"I anticipate a significant reduction in the number of telephone calls to the office for license verification," Freed said.

AccessKansas is the state's Web portal, and the Information Network of Kansas is the agency responsible for the official state portal and also provides electronic-government applications to other state agencies.
