A joint product of NASCIO's Enterprise Infrastructure & Services Committee, and NASCIO's Corporate Leadership Council, this DVD is designed for elected officials and government leaders who influence funding decisions related to disaster recovery planning, and to assist state CIOs in making the business case for disaster recovery and business continuity planning. David Taylor, Chief Information Officer for Florida's Department of Health, and Chair of NASCIO's Disaster Recovery Working Group said, "Disasters that shut down a state's mission critical applications for any length of time could have devastating direct and indirect costs to the state and its economy that make considering a disaster recovery and business continuity plan essential."
This DVD also examines the cost to states' day-to-day business activities if there were to be a disaster that shut down a state's mission critical applications for any length of time and will serve as tool to demonstrate the downside of loss of critical IT business functions.
