New Jersey Opens Online Training to Insurance Agents

Insurance agents in New Jersey now can fulfill continuing education (CE) requirements via online classes.

TRENTON, N.J. -- Insurance agents in New Jersey now can fulfill continuing education (CE) requirements via online classes. The state Department of Insurance recently ruled that agents may meet CE requirements through correspondence courses.

"New Jersey's Department of Insurance made a wonderful decision to expand the CE completion options available to its agents," said Gary Henkel, CEO of WebCE. The company is among the first providers of online courses for New Jersey insurance agents.

Henkel said the department's ruling makes life easier for busy agents. Furthermore, the ruling reduces effort for insurers that are coordinating national CE programs.

"Most successful insurance professionals share the challenge of finding enough time to meet and service their clients," he said. "WebCE's self-study course means New Jersey agents can now complete their required 48 hours of CE anytime and anywhere, without the hassle and expense of spending six days in a classroom environment."
