FARSIGHT plans to officially unveil its UAV line at Enforcement Expo 2006, July 12-13, to be held at the International Exposition (I-X) Center in Cleveland, Ohio. Enforcement Expo will feature FARSIGHT's flagship UAV, "The Raider." This small, tactical UAV comes equipped with high resolution color video capture and real time downlink capabilities, providing moment-to-moment overhead surveillance and tactical intelligence to officers on the ground. Video is captured and relayed at a resolution of 480 VTL and a light sensitivity ranging from .3 LUX. Flight duration is between 3 and 5 hours, depending upon weather conditions, with immediate reflight capability. Sleek and simple to operate, the Raider is virtually soundless at 100 ft. Hand-launched, The Raider and FARSIGHT's mobile ground stations each fit into a suitcase-sized military transport case for easy deployment. Night vision, thermal sensors, long-range transmitters and tracking, and advanced remote sensing capabilities are available. In addition, all FARSIGHT UAV systems include one week of onsite training.
Visitors to FARSIGHT's website can receive a FREE Exhibit Hall pass good for two days of onsite exhibits at Enforcement Expo, but they can't see "The Raider;" the company is keeping it under tight wraps until the unveiling on July 12. In addition to the first-ever views of the new UAV, FARSIGHT demonstrations will include video capture displays and live simulator training for attendees during both days of the Expo.
