Ogden City, Utah, Police Select Facial Recognition and Digital Sketching Technology

The City of Ogden, Utah's, Police Department has selected ImageWare Systems' facial recognition and digital composite sketching technology as part of a large-scale suspect identification initiative, which also includes an Automated Fingerprint Identification System (AFIS) developed by NEC Solutions (America), Inc.

By leveraging the biometric facial recognition and digital composite sketching technology, the Ogden City Police Department is able to further streamline current law enforcement identification procedures by enabling officers to conduct facial recognition searches against its existing records management system (RMS), as well as composites created using ImageWare's digital composite sketching technology.
