Revamped Web Site to Track Revitalization of Lower Manhattan

Part of new campaign called "This is 2010. It's Happening Now"

In a Sunday radio address, NYC Mayor Michael Bloomberg announced the Lower Manhattan revitalization campaign called "This is 2010. It's Happening Now."

Citizens can stay informed of the progress the city is making on both the World Trade Center memorial and the Lower Manhattan city area on the new user-friendly Web site which has been retooled. It is now easier for citizens to access information on various aspects of the revitalization including construction updates, news and future projects.

"We must work together to continue transforming Lower Manhattan into a community that reflects our city's spirit, and our unshakable hope in its future," Bloomberg stated. Included on the Web site is an animated visualization tour which simulates how the community will look in 2010. "Just a few years from now ... we'll have a memorial that truly articulates the absence 9/11 left in our hearts and city."
