“I am committed to making it easier for local businesses to operate and grow jobs in San Francisco,” Lee told California Newswire. “The Enterprise Zone Web App takes a powerful tax incentive program and brings it online so small businesses, manufacturers and other firms can save time while they save money.”
The Enterprise Zone, the program upon which the application is based, was created 15 years ago to encourage business investment and job creation by offering businesses in California tax credits. This app, created using Firmstep’s AchieveForms software, will allow more businesses to take advantage of the tax credit program, Lee said, because the program is now more efficient and accessible.
“This will help small businesses gain a foothold in a bureaucratic maze that they've often criticized the city for and show as an example what we can really do when we start focusing on what we can do to help people and not just make them comply,” Lee said in a press conference.
