The free online service lets citizens complete all required paperwork and schedule appointments at times that are convenient for them.
"We're excited to offer this scheduling tool so citizens can make appointments and reduce their wait times in our offices," said D. Lance Davenport, commissioner of the Utah Department of Public Safety. "This Web application is yet another example of the Driver License Division's efforts to improve our services and respond to the needs of our citizens."
The online scheduler was developed by Utah Interactive, a subsidiary of e-government provider NIC, which manages Utah.gov. Other states, such as New York, have launched similar online services for their motor vehicle departments.
