September 22, 2008 By

Mitzi Higashidani, the chief deputy director of the California Department of Technology Services announced today that she would soon be leaving her current position. "After 28 years in various positions in Information Technology (IT)," she said in an e-mail, "I have decided to make a career change. I am leaving my position as chief deputy director of the Department Technology Services to become the director of the Department of Administrative Services under the leadership of the receiver (California Prison Health Care Services) on October 1.

"I leave with a sense of comfort that DTS has come a long way in its journey to become one viable organization on its mission to become the premiere state data center in the state. I also leave in appreciation to those who believed in me and gave me opportunities that I do not take for granted."
