Highlights of The Intersection Event at Google HQ

Approximately 300 thought leaders gathered in Mountain View, Calif., on Saturday, Jan. 19, to discuss innovative methods for creating social change. 

The event, called The Intersection, was held at Google’s headquarters the Googleplex, and the group of speakers -- from a range of backgrounds -- came to share their ideas on what it means to innovate and collaborate, and the impact of innovation and collaboration on social issues. 

Speakers included San Francisco Giants pitcher Barry Zito and Twitter’s Co-founder Evan Williams. Topics focused on women taking social action, the impacts of science in the modern world, and the showcasing of six projects from individuals who are trying to improve education and society.
