With this in mind an agreement has been signed between Morehead State University (MSU) and Kentucky Community and Technical College System (KCTCS) to create new opportunities for students who wish to further their studies in Technology Management. Students may apply with their Associate of Applied Science (AAS) or Associate in Science (AS) degree from KCTCS toward the completion of a Bachelor of Science program in Technology Management (BSTM). Students can focus their study in one of two separate tracks within the BSTM area: Technology Systems or Computer Information Systems Track. Both degree tracks can be taken completely online.
Students must complete an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) or Associate in Science (AS) degree to be eligible to participate in this transfer agreement. KCTCS students must meet MSU's requirements for admission and apply to be accepted into MSU's BSTM program. Since MSU's BSTM degree has been designed as a fully online program KCTCS students who transfer into the Technology Management area do not need to relocate to the MSU campus in Morehead (although they may do so if desired). Transfer students must complete MSU's General Education requirements and comply with all published academic requirements and regulations as listed in the MSU catalog.
The new, 100 percent online, four-year degree in Technology Management (General track or the Information Systems track) will allow transfer students to obtain both technology and management competencies that will continue to be in high demand, in this Era of big data and the Internet of Things (IoT).
