North Dakota Unified Judicial Branch Signs Justice Software Contract

The State of North Dakota Unified Judicial Branch has signed a contract for the implementation of Tyler Technology's courts & justice solution in district courts across the state. The agreement, which is valued at $6.35 million, includes software licenses, corresponding professional services, ongoing maintenance and support. The Odyssey Case Manager will expedite court administration for the state's seven judicial districts, which serve all 53 counties, by easing the management of and access to case information. The courts will also deploy the Financial Manager product center to track financial data for court offices, while the Public Access feature will make courts and justice information available to citizens online.

"We believe that Tyler's system is the leap forward in technology that we have been looking for. It is a comprehensive system that should meet all of our needs for an effective case management system and allow us to expand into the areas of e-filing, document management and Web response," stated Sally Holewa, North Dakota's state court administrator.

"The Tyler system will allow us to better meet the demands of the modern court customer looking for accurate, on-demand court information," said Holewa. "We chose Tyler's court solution because of its proven technology in multiple settings, which clearly indicates an ability to adapt the system to meet the unique needs of each court jurisdiction. The system keeps the end user in mind, offering intuitive screen navigation and layout."
