SF72.org

A new San Francisco disaster website coming this Fall.

I was reading Government Technology Magazine and came across a short article on the establishment of a new community resilience website SF72.org

This is being launched in the fall of 2013.  It stated goal is to link disaster "victims" (I guess they have not heard Craig Fugate hold forth on using the term "survivors") to citizens offering resources and services--from food and water to mechanical services and a place to stay.

They believe that their research shows that communities with natural social networks are more resilient.  I'd agree with that statement.

Check out the weblink above.  It will take you to their basic website that is still under construction.
