Blue Cascades Earthquake Recovery Exercise, March 21

Recovery is the bridge not yet crossed by many public and private organizations.

We tend to spend all our time in the preparedness phase of emergency management, and the focus of our efforts and that of our counterparts is on disaster response.

If you are here in the Puget Sound Region, King County's Critical Infrastructure Committee is hosting an Earthquake Recovery Tabletop Exercise on March 21. There are still a few seats available, and we are looking for both public- and private-sector organizations, especially critical infrastructure owners and operators, to come and participate. You can get more information at the link above, and you can register here.

I always say, even a little bit of knowledge and planning can make all the difference when disaster strikes.
