Put an AED in Your Mobile Command Post

An AED in the mobile command post makes sense.

Many, if not most, Emergency Operations Centers (EOC) are likely to have an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) present, stored somewhere in the facility in a cabinet on a wall.

I had not thought about this before, but the Pierce County Emergency Management Department has an AED in their mobile command post. I think this is a great idea. People working in the field can have great physical and emotional stress, so having one of these life-saving devices installed in the command post just makes sense.

And, wherever your AED is, remember to have it serviced to make sure it is functional when you need to use it!
