Shutdown Impact to FAA's Drone Program

Impacts can be cumulative.

It is not the end of the world, but it is illustrative of the mounting impacts of the United States government partial shutdown:

"AUVSI is reaching out to let you know the FAA UAS Symposium 2019 scheduled to take place in February is being postponed due to the government shutdown. The new conference dates will be announced after furloughed FAA employees return to work.

Once employees return, we will continue to build an event that will bring stakeholders together from all sectors to help define the rules and concepts that will govern the future of drone operations.

Please watch your inbox for the announcement of the new dates.

Sincerely,

FAA UAS Symposium Team"
