The Realities of Governing Are Setting In

I am surprised, but happily so.

Newly elected Gov. Ron DeSantis of Florida appears to have a change of heart when it comes to the realities of what climate change is doing to his state. See this editorial, DeSantis (Quietly) Acknowledges Threat Sea-Level Rise Poses to Florida.

The steps identified are not giant leaps toward thwarting climate change, but they do acknowledge that climate adaptation is necessary and the impacts are getting measurably worse.

When property values along the oceans begin to fall, you will know that we have finally come to the point where people are acknowledging reality — when it hits them in the pocketbook.
