Washington State Falling Behind on Earthquake Early-Warning System

Let's be clear, we have not been in the race.

To fall behind, is an understatement. Washington state has never been committed to an early warning seismic system. See Washington falling behind on earthquake early-warning system.

Everyone is waiting for the feds to provide more money. If the earthquake comes and Washington state has not provided any funding — they will point the finger at the feds.

I easily state, no one in Washington state feels responsible for seismic safety in this state and no one will do anything about that until after the next big earthquake and they feel "naked and afraid" for having done little to nothing.
