We Don't Need No More Stinking Studies

Action, not studies is what is needed.

We live in uncertain and challenging times on many fronts. If you want to know what living with ambiguity is like, just wake up and experience it every day.

With the above in mind, see the latest from the Seattle Times on the status of our earthquake readiness and the legislative inaction that stretches back decades.

Studies, committees, more studies, news stories, more studies--but, no real action. Kind of like our plan, train (although I don't think we train enough), exercise, lessons learned, and then do the cycle again and repeat the same mistakes.

When and where will it all end up? At the present pace, we will run out of time, the ground will shake violently and everyone will wish they had done more to be prepared, to protect children, to be able to recover faster.

Until then, let's study the issue some more.
