Civil Unrest Planning and Response for Public Safety Agencies

In light of recent high-profile civil unrest and violent protests across the U.S., this training is being made available to credentialed first responders.

Due to recent high-profile events such as the Ferguson and Baltimore riots and unrest at political events, this training is being provided at no cost to credentialed public safety agencies (Law Enforcement, Fire, EMS and Emergency Management). This training will provide an overview of the threat and what is required to plan for and respond to a violent protest or riot in their community.

Program will cover the following topics:

  • Type of Civil Unrest Events
  • Current Threats and Threat Groups
  • Incident Pre-Planning
  • Fire/EMS Response Considerations
  • Unified Response Operations
  • Command, Control and Communications
  • Community/Media Concerns
