Keynote Speakers

Kristy Fifelski is an award-winning expert in government digital strategy and social media. Kristy is the New Media Director for e.Republic Inc., the nation's leading publishing, research, event and new media company focused on state, local government and education markets.

She is known as "GovGirl" in the industry as the upbeat host and creator of GovGirl.com, a unique online video show about government innovation. She served on the board of directors of the National Association of Government Webmasters and earned several national awards as the Web Manager for the City of Reno, Nevada.

During her 10 year career in government, Kristy also served as the Public Relations Coordinator for the City of Wheaton, IL and Deputy Clerk for the Town of Cortland, IL. Fifelski holds a Master's Degree in Communication from Northern Illinois University, where she graduated with honors.

Kristy's reputation frequently earns her a place on popular who's who lists, including 100+ Women in Government Technology (GovFresh, 2010), Must-Read State & Local Government IT Blogs (StateTech, 2012), and Top People to Follow on Twitter (Govloop, 2012).

Author of "Infinite Progress: How Technology and the Internet Will End Ignorance, Disease, Hunger, Poverty, and War," Byron's enthusiasm and talent for deciphering our common destiny is overshadowed only by his inspiring sense of optimism.

Exploring the intersection of history, technology and the future, Byron shares his technological visions for solving many of our global problems and speaks with the unrivaled authority of an accomplished high-tech trailblazer, inventor, entrepreneur, and the wisdom of a life-long historian.
Reese started his first business as an undergraduate at Rice University. Two companies he started were later sold: Hot Data, ultimately to Pitney Bowes; and PageWise, the parent company of ExpertVillage.com, to Demand Media.

He currently serves as Chief Innovation Officer for Demand Media, overseeing research and development. The company has filed and received patents on Reese's work in disciplines from crowdsourcing to content creation to psychographics.
Reese has served on both public and private boards of directors, and has started several non-profit organizations.

Lt. Col. (ret.) Rob "Waldo" Waldman - The Wingman - is a professional leadership speaker and author of the New York Times and Wall Street Journal bestseller Never Fly Solo. He teaches organizations how to build trusting, revenue producing relationships with their employees, partners, and customers while sharing his experiences as a combat decorated F-16 fighter pilot and businessman.

In addition to his speaking business, Waldo is also founder and President of The Wingman Foundation, a 501(c)(3) whose mission is to build funds and awareness for soldiers, veterans and their families in need.

He is a highly experienced combat veteran with over 2,650 flight hours and sixty-five real world combat missions, having flown both in Iraq enforcing the "No-Fly Zone" and in Yugoslavia during Operation Allied Force in 1999. Some of his military honors include five Air Medals, two Aerial Achievement Medals, four Air Force Commendation Medals, and two Meritorious Service Medals.

Waldo overcame massive claustrophobia and a fear of heights to become a fighter pilot and believes that the key to building a culture of trust lies with your wingmen - the men and women in your life who help you to overcome obstacles, adapt to change, and achieve success. In business and life, you should never fly solo!

Waldo is a graduate of the U.S Air Force Academy and also holds an MBA with a focus on Organizational Behavior. A Certified Speaking Professional (CSP), he is past President of the GA Chapter of the National Speaker's Association and his clients include Hewlett Packard, Verizon Wireless, New York Life, Siemens, Home Depot, Aflac, and Johnson & Johnson.
