Georgia Cyber Security Briefing

Jun 21, 2016
Atlanta, GA

Overview

After a year of unprecedented cyber-attacks in 2015, it is clear that the threat landscape is not shrinking for both public sector organizations and critical infrastructure. In response to this continued and growing threat, Governor Deal issued an Executive Order in 2015 to establish a Cybersecurity Review Board. At the same time, the National Guard deployed to Georgia, one of the first cyber response teams it is establishing in key regions of the country.

To help state and local government organizations better understand the threat landscape and the cyber security roles and responsibilities of the Georgia Technology Agency, the Georgia Emergency Management Agency and the National Guard, we have created a half-day event that will allow you to hear from organizations at the forefront of the cyber security efforts in Georgia. The speakers will share their mission and otherwise update attendees on the scope of the Review Board’s efforts and how the various cyber security assets will be deployed.
