Network Services Manager, Central Management Services, State of Illinois

As Network Services Manager with the Illinois Department of Central Management Services (CMS), Kirk is responsible for the management and oversight of the Illinois Century Network (ICN) backbone and customer facing wide-area network support for State of Illinois agencies. He is also one of the core fiber project team members at CMS working on the implementation of a new ARRA funded, $96 million middle mile, fiber optic broadband infrastructure project. Kirk has been with the State of Illinois for 12 years and has served in various other roles supporting the ICN including Regional Technology Center Supervisor, Regional Coordinator, and Network Design and Security Manager. Kirk currently holds the CISSP certification and loves working with technology to meet business needs.
