The traditional sources of power have disappeared or diminished. Today's leaders must re-evaluate their style and master new sources of influence. Lasting success will come to those leaders who inspire new ways of thinking, being and acting. Join us for this fascinating keynote from Alan Parisse, the first and only speaker to come out of the investment business to be inducted into the National Speakers Association's Hall of Fame, whose expertise, consistency, and client-centric focus led Successful Meetings Magazine to name Alan "One of the Top 21 Speakers for the 21st Century".

Description:
Everybody says "Big Data," but do we really know what it means? How big it really is? Today's reality is that data records are in the billions and trillions - not millions. Sources of data have rapidly evolved from predominately "structured" data (data that can be acquired, organized and stored in traditional database structures), to overwhelmingly really big "structured" and "unstructured" data (continuous streams of email, text, voice, video, etc.). While we know that velocity, variety and volume continues to increase, do we really know how to handle it and what to do with it? Big Data can help answer questions we never thought to ask and provide proactive solutions to problems we never before thought could be solved.
Join us for a fascinating look at "Big Data" and find out what it really means and how this is changing what government can do. This session will change your thoughts on Big Data from "What?" into "WOW!"

Description:
Asking a customer what they want is necessary but NOT sufficient to produce satisfactory results. Participate in a two-part interactive workshop on how to use Outcome Driven Innovation and a new and improved brainstorming technique to increase customer satisfaction and drive innovation.
Part 1: Attendees will learn the basic skills of Outcome Driven Innovation and practice using them to increase customer satisfaction. They will interview "customers" to determine their many desired outcomes for the tasks and activities that customers want to complete. They will then process this information to create a prioritized list of opportunities to develop the products or services that customers REALLY need.
Part 2: Attendees will learn and practice using I.D.E.A.S! - a five-stage divergent and convergent brainstorming method - to create innovative solutions to implement and deliver the best opportunities to customers.

Description:
It is generally accepted in a developed, modern economy that consumers are fickle and have become intelligent buyers. The single biggest driver towards achieving customer loyalty is delivering a personalized, appropriate and enriching experience for the customer. But, is this important within the Public Sector where we deal with citizens not customers, where the citizen may have no choice about provider and where cost pressures are forcing bodies to focus on statutory deliverables rather than citizen satisfaction ratings? Join Aaron Shidler as he answers this question and outlines best practices for enabling your organization to immediately improve citizen experience through enabling access to information and services anywhere, anytime and across interaction channels.
