Ohio Public Sector CIO Academy 2018

May 7, 2018
Columbus, OH

Overview

The Ohio Public Sector CIO Academy is the premier leadership event for Ohio's senior level technology executives to improve their management and business skills and to develop the IT leaders of the future. The purpose of this invitation-only event is to foster discussion and dialogue on what it means to be a successful CIO in the public sector and how to use Information Technology as a strategic tool. This event is a one-of-a-kind opportunity for government and industry executives to collaborate and address the most important policy, management and leadership issues surrounding the future of digital government and the role of the public sector CIO.

Topics Include:

  • Multiple Paths to Being a CIO (or Not)
  • It All Comes Down to Relationships
  • Build an “A Team” – You’ll Need One!
  • Strategic Visioning – Rowing in the Same Direction
  • Aligning Expectations and Metrics with a Vision
  • Risk Management and Turning a Vision into Reality

A message from our Keynote Speaker

One of the biggest challenges we have in government is getting everyone rowing in the same direction. It goes beyond innovation and change management. It’s about getting the most out of our people, our business partners, and improving our business processes to better serve the citizens and businesses in Ohio. The CIO Academy is our opportunity to improve our leadership skills, hone our management techniques and craft a shared vision of how we, as Ohio’s IT leaders, can work together to apply technology’s limitless potential to meaningful business solutions. I hope you can join us for this unique event.

- Stu Davis, Chief Information Officer, State of Ohio
