Public CIO Technology Summit July 2015

Overview

The Public CIO Technology Summit is an invitation only educational event that brings together a select group of CIOs, CTOs and other technology leadership from the largest city, county, and state IT organizations around the country.  Participants will gather for a day and a half of interactive dialogue around our Public CIO Special Report topics and other top-of-mind operational issues. This event’s collaborative format provides an opportunity to learn from your peers and exchange ideas on key areas of technology, management, policy, and strategy unique to large government information technology agencies.

We selected Detroit this year as we have never hosted this event in Michigan and felt it was time to lend our support to the recovery of a great American city.  We are working on the event with David Behen, CIO of Michigan, and Beth Niblock, CIO of Detroit, to ensure we can highlight the unique features of Michigan.  We have also confirmed Marcy Klevorn, CIO of Ford Motor Company, as a guest speaker during the event.

Topics will include:

  • Data Governance
  • The Evolution of the Data Center – What Path to Choose
  • Government at the Speed of Life – 24x7
  • Security in a World of No Perimeters
  • Pushing Through the Barriers to eGovernment
  • How Many Chiefs Does it Take…? – CIO, CAO, CDO, CTO…
