Overview

Government Technology’s passion is helping spread best practices and spurring innovation in the public sector. The Utah Digital Government Summit is designed to do just that. The summit has an advisory board that gathers public sector and private sector leaders to create an agenda designed to make that passion relevant and actionable to the state and local government organizations attending the summit. Participants tell us they use the inspirational keynotes, leadership discussions, networking breaks, and timely topics discussed in the numerous breakout sessions to help advance the goals of their organizations and their own career paths.

Topics Include:

  • The Importance of a Risk Assessment
  • Data Sharing – How to Make It Pay Off
  • How to Make a Winning Budget Request
  • Everyone Loves Maps!
  • Internet of Things and Its Emerging Impact on Government
  • Tweak It, Keep It or Dump It?
  • Data Rich, Results Poor?
  • The Power of the Digital Citizen
  • Drones and Government
  • Driverless Cars and Our Future

A message from our Keynote Speaker

The reasons to attend the Utah Digital Government Summit each year are never-ending. By coming together to collaborate and learn from each other we can celebrate our successes while also finding innovative ways to work through the challenges we all face. We are focusing on security, innovation, and data sharing, and the Summit is the perfect place to discuss what else is important. I hope you will take the time to attend this worthwhile conference!

- Mike Hussey, Chief Information Officer, State of Utah
