Best Practices for a Mobile Workforce & Xora

What does it really mean to have a mobile workforce in government? This GovGirl video explores the basics, starting off by clarifying the difference between a teleworker (what I'm doing in the video) and a mobile worker (like inspectors, police, etc. who serve mostly in the field). 

For insight on some of the best practices for a mobile workforce, I chatted with Anne Bonaparte, CEO of XORA, a company that specializes in mobile apps for mobile workers. I've had great conversations on GovGirl about helpful public-facing apps for citizens, but here we're talking about the value of modern day tools that allow mobile workers to 'appify' (new word, I want it to catch on) the work they traditionally do with paper forms.

Simply must-have's when investing in technology for a mobile workforce: Integration with existing systems, ability to re-create forms electronically, upload images and use the mobile device's GPS capabilities.
