American Traffic Solutions (ATS), which serves more than 120 cities in North America with red-light and speed camera programs, has been selected by Arlington County, Va., to run that county's photo enforcement program. Virginia becomes the 18thstate served by ATS, which is the largest provider of photo traffic enforcement programs to America's big cities, including Washington, D.C., New York City, Philadelphia, Houston, St. Louis, San Diego and Seattle.
"We are pleased to partner with ATS in this effort to make the streets of Arlington safer," said Captain Paul Larson, the Project Manager for the Arlington County Police Department. "We're confident the state-of-the-art technology the company offers and its strong customer service will help us make significant reductions in the number of preventable crashes and injuries caused by red-light runners in Arlington."
Other communities in the metropolitan area served by ATS include Washington, D.C., and eight Maryland communities including Anne Arundel County. ATS' Northern Virginia operations will be supported from its Washington, D.C., regional office.
