In 1994, SAP launched the SAP University Alliances, a program that works with educational institutions around the world to create, capture, organize and disseminate intellectual capital. The partnership supports the development of a highly skilled and educated work force to fuel future innovation and thereby contribute to global economic development.

The program provides hundreds of universities and research institutes in more than 30 countries with access to SAP business solutions for use in disciplines such as business, IT, computer science and engineering. Students can experience first-hand how organizations operate, and how integrated systems can make them more efficient, productive and profitable.
