Integrated Justice System Chosen for Louisiana Courts

Jun 5, 2003, News Report

East Baton Rouge Parish Clerk of Court, and the 19th Judicial District Court of Louisiana, selected an ACS justice information system for use in their civil, criminal, juvenile and traffic courts. The contract, valued at $1.8 million, is for the ACS Court Case Management System, other products and associated professional services.

The courts will be the first in Louisiana to implement the new Web-based version of the Justice Information System. This technology foundation will provide many potential benefits, including reducing the total cost of system ownership, lowering maintenance costs and better positioning the courts for future integration efforts.

"ACS has the experience and resources to help East Baton Rouge Parish and the 19th Judicial District Court achieve our vision of becoming one of the most technologically advanced courts in the nation," said Doug Welborn, clerk of court for East Baton Rouge Parish. "The technology architecture of the ACS system will help us achieve our goals and provide a solid foundation for the future."
