On Saturday a distributed denial of service attack was launched against U.S. and South Korean government Web sites. According to published reports, the attack -- while not particularly sophisticated -- was very large and persistent. The U.S. FTC site went down, according to the Washington Post, and some sites were still experiencing problems today. According to a PandaLabs blog, the malware used to attack a long list of governent and financial sites is the Mydoom.HN.
