Pew Study Sees Fewer Concerned About Global Warming

Recent public opinion surveys by Pew and Gallup show a "sharp decline in the proportion of the public saying there is solid evidence of global warming" and an "increase in the percentage of Americans who say the seriousness of global warming is 'generally exaggerated.'" The Pew study suggests that economic concerns and a cooler summer than normal have shifted public opinion. And while a large number of Americans still feel that strong environmental regulations are necessary, fewer are willing to face slower economic growth, job losses or higher prices as a result.
